This division is designed for girls 9-10 years of age. The pitcher’s mound is 35 feet from home plate and the bases are spaces at 55 feet. The girls play the game as the big girls do, including stealing, bunting, and sliding. 

Sr. Pigtail registration begin in January and the teams start practicing in mid-March. Teams typically practice 2 nights a week at either Glenwood Elementary, White Oaks Elementary, or New Castle Elementary.   We typically inter-league with some combination of Kempsville Recreation Association, Arrowhead-Point of View Recreation, and/or West Kempsville Youth Association playing in the Virginia Beach Unified Softball League (VBUSL).
