Sr. Farm (Kid PItch) Baseball

LSR Offers the first stages of kid-pitch baseball for 9 and 10 year old players. At this level with their peers, players continue to build and refine their fundamental baseball skills while they begin to understand game strategy. The kids learn to pitch from a 46' mound while playing on 60' base paths. This is the level games start to get competitive so we request that all players, parents and coaches remember that is all about a game and having fun playing it.   Please help us make this level a positive experience for all involved.

Sr. Farm registration begin in February and the teams start practicing in mid-March. Teams typically practice 2 nights a week at either Glenwood Elementary, White Oaks Elementary, or Salem Woods Park #1.  The majority of games are held at Salem Woods Park, Point of View Elementary, & Kempsville Elementary staring in early April and ending around mid June.  We typically inter-league with some combination of Kempsville Recreation Association, Arrowhead-Point of View Recreation, and/or West Kempsville Youth Association.   Our teams participate each year in the West Kempville Sr. Farm All Star Tournament that typically bring the best players from 5-6 of the recreation associations in the City.
